Construction work is regulated in Pennsylvania, contractors are not required to be licensed. Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry provides employers with the necessary information for compliance with the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. You may also phone the Bureau at 717-783-5421. Please check with your local government for issues of liability insurance requirements. Every contractor is required to pass the OSHA exam. Out of State Corporations must obtain a "Certificate of Authority" to do business in the state from the Corporation Bureau, you may also call them at (717) 787-1057.
